Join Operation Kindness for its 16th annual Dog Day Afternoon at Flag Pole Hill on Saturday, September 11th from 10am-3pm. This free and fun festival celebrates dogs and includes unique vendors with freebies, free goodie bags, canine contests for great prizes, a dunk tank with local celebrities, free face painting for kiddos, pet CPR demonstrations, Dallas Dog and Disc performances, and free microchipping for the first 45 dogs! The McKinney Avenue Contemporary is pleased to announce its participation, along with other Dallas art institutions, in celebrating Mexico's Independence from Spain. This bicentennial celebration will include exhibitions in all three of The MAC galleries. The two large galleries will focus on The Cult of Death/La Santa Muerte and Los Olvidados/The Forgotten Ones. The third gallery will feature an exhibit entitled Los Colores del Cielo/The Colors of Heaven, a video created by Quin Mathews. The grand opening will be Saturday, September 18 from 5:30 - 8:00 PM at our galleries located at 3120 McKinney Avenue, in the Uptown District of Dallas.

IN presents the second annual Great Gatsby...Get Your Flap On! The Great Gatsby fundraiser will be held on September 26 from 2-6 pm. The afternoon will feature a decadent afternoon of music, fine cuisine, and cocktails with music by Hunter Sullivan.
